Tips to Reduce Your Postage Costs |
1) The single biggest step you can take toward reducing your postage expenses is to work with a direct mailing company to complete the Letter Carrier Presort process on your mailers. |
2) Consider changing the format of your mailers. By folding newsletters in half postage can be reduced from "oversize" rate to "short and long" rate. |
3) Make sure sure your database is current, purge from duplicates, and is corrected to Canada Post standards. You may have any number of duplicates costing you not only postage but material and labour. |
4) If your using a design company, ensure that they know the regulations for postage dicounts. To often we find that if a piece was designed slightly smaller, significant savings can be had. |
